Fazioli Pianos: The Best Sound

Pianists around the world are constantly in search of a piano that sounds amazing. Unfortunately, that isn't an easy task these days, a time period in which most of our musical instruments are mass produced by machines and don't undergo rigorous testing before being sold. Anyone who is serious about their music is going to be very picky about which piano they select, which is why more and more pianists are choosing Fazioli.

While a relatively new piano company, having begun in 1978, Fazioli is now being billed as one of the top pianos on the market. They are even giving Steinway some serious competition, which is very impressive, considering the history of the other piano company.

Impressive Design is No Accident

One of the first things you'll notice about a Fazioli piano is the amazing design. With these pianos, the choice between design and sound is no longer an issue. Sleek and fabulous, the Fazioli retains the classic look of a piano while bringing it into the 21st century, not an easy feat.

The lines are perfect, the finish impeccable and for those looking for a model with a bit more of a twist, there is the M. Liminal, a truly unique instrument that appears to be more sculpture than piano with its sweeping curves and elegant, modern design. It truly belongs in a museum, the look is something so different and special.

What matters far more than design to the pianist, however, is how a piano sounds and in this, Fazioli impresses, too.

Fazioli Pianos: Near Perfect Sound

Everything about the Fazioli has been carefully thought through. This includes the scale designs, the length of each string, which is unique to this particular piano brand. Quality is the name of the game at the Fazioli factory and care is taken to ensure that every single piano is built with the best possible materials, rejecting any wood that has flaws which could compromise the sound. For example, many piano manufacturing companies fix flaws in the soundboard (which needs to be a large piece of wood) by adding shims, or small pieces of wood to eradicate the flaws. Unfortunately, this does affect the sound quality, however slightly, so Fazioli pianos never use flawed pieces.

While the basic design may be rather similar to that of most other top quality pianos produced by major music companies, the Fazioli has a few little additions that make it that much better. From a fourth pedal designed to lower the hammers closer to the strings, producing crystalline sound while keeping the volume lower. There are dozens of little differences that would barely be noticeable unless you are quite informed on the construction of musical instruments, yet they make all the difference, taking these pianos from just another musical instrument to one of the top piano models in the world.

This perfection comes at a high cost. Fazioli pianos not only boast possibly the best sound in the world, they are also some of the most expensive pianos on the market. However, for the true music enthusiast, this isn't a problem. The impeccable quality of these instruments is well worth the giant price tag.

For a piano business with such a short history, Fazioli has done an amazing job on building up to a level where they are in competition with companies such as Steinway. The pianos produced in this factory are designed to be as close to perfection as they can get and that is what has made their sound so clear and bright and appealing to the masses.
